Rosalita’s canned tuna belly is made with Yellowfin tuna fished in Galicia.

 Our fishermen use traditional and sustainable fishing gear, such as seine nets, in order to fish selectively and respectfully.

Tradition

Fishing has been practised in the villages along the Galician coast for hundreds of years, generation after generation. It is, above all, a way of life, a way of understanding the world. Galicia, therefore, is synonymous with quality fish.

 The seafaring essence of our villages is everywhere: in the smell of fish in the port, in our picturesque landscape with boats of all sizes, in our cuisine…

 Our men are lifelong fishermen. They are men of the sea. Their skill in the use of the most traditional fishing gear prevents the animals from suffering during the catch, which is key to ensuring that the fish remain tender and juicy.

 It takes practice and a lot of care to clean the belly fillets and arrange them in the containers in such a way that they maintain their texture and appearance. We love it!

 When filling the cans, we take great care to make sure that it shows when you open them. We like to think that your mouth will be watering when you’re about to eat them, and that you’ll be able to boast about its quality when you show it off on the plate.
